it's almost 3AM on a wednesday and I'm STILL up, sitting at this thing. I just got a new computer, so I've been transferring and all that good stuff, and I figured that I would make a little post. I also just turned around to realize that the bowl of rice that I made for dinner is now sitting abandoned in the middle of the floor... I don't remember putting it there, but I probably did, because I took a few bites and almost choked to death due to the fact that it was fresh out of the pot and hot as hell. I must have tried to cool it down and then just forgot. oh well! I don't really know what else to say. Life is great. At this point, I haven't made a real post in so long that I can't even begin to update. Matt and I went to Turkey for a week this summer. We spent a couple nights in Istanbul (Which is a marvelous city) and then spent the remainder in Fethiye, which is gorgeous. I would love to head back to turkey soon... what I REALLY want is to be able to tackle the Lycian Way.. the WHOLE Lycian Way. One day, one day. Other than that, it's been business as usual. We're thinking of trying to head back to CT this winter for a family visit. we'll see. |

3 am. wired. watching a crazy movie. nostalgic. contemplative. I've done a lot. I've seen a lot. I've grown a lot. I am content. I'll be 22 this year, which seems impossible. I "Spoke" (on aim) with Helen today. It was civil. pleasant. like we were old friends again. joking back and forth. reminiscing. I feel like it did me good to be as wild as I was when I was younger. All that excess, I believe, has allowed me to really grow up quickly. I've finished mucking about. I mean... I still drink... I still have a good time.... But I do it in a more adult manner.
